Four Things That Determine Your Habits(Various Scriptures)

1)  Words
Speak & read the Word of God daily.
(Luke 4:4)  But Jesus answered, "The Scripture says, 'Man can not live on bread alone.' "
Words are the most powerful thing in the universe.
Be careful not to hang around people who speak negative things into your life.

2)  Your Thoughts
What are you thinking?  (Philippians 4:8) In conclusion, my brothers, fill your minds with those things that are good and deserve praise; things that are true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and honorable.

You must learn how to think and what to think on.   (Philippians 4:6) Don't worry about anything, but in all your prayers ask God for what you need, always asking with a thankful heart.

Cast down imaginations.  Every sin starts with a thought -- therefore you must, determine your thoughts. (IICorinthians 10:4-5)  4 The weapons we use in our fight are not the world's weapons but God's powerful weapons, which we use to destroy strongholds.  We destroy false arguments;  5 we pull down every proud obstacle that is raised against the knowledge of God; we take every thought captive and make it obey Christ.

3)  Emotions
Do not be led by your emotions but by actions--not allowing your emotions to control you.  (Psalms 118:24)  This is the day of the Lord's victory; let us be happy, let us celebrate!

4)  Actions
Be doers of the Word.  Do whatever it takes to walk in the Word.  Make a decision to do so. (James 1:21-25)  21  So get rid of every filthy habit and all wicked conduct.  Submit to God and accept the word that he plants in your hearts, which is able to save you.
22  Do not deceive yourselves by just listening to his word; instead, put it into practice.  23  Whoever listens to the word but does not put it into practice is like a man who looks in the mirror and sees himself as he is.  24  He takes a good look at himself and then goes away and at once forgets what he looks like.  25  But whoever looks closely into the perfect law that sets people free, who keeps on paying attention to it and does not simply listen and then forget it, but puts it into practice---that person will be blessed by God in what he does.

Learn to examine yourself often.  You must acquire a PhD in SELF.
