A) Not Walking According to the Sinful Nature (Romans 8:4 and Galatians 5:16-21)
Romans 8:4
8 He did this so that the just requirement of the law would be fully satisfied for us, who no longer follow our sinful nature but instead follow the Spirit.
Galatians 5:16-21
16 So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves.
17 The sinful nature wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants. And the Spirit gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful nature desires. These two forces are constantly fighting each other, so you are not free to carry out your good intentions.
18 But when you are directed by the Spirit, you are not under obligation to the law of Moses.
19 When you follow the desires of your sinful nature, the results are very clear: sexual immorality, impurity, lustful pleasures,
20 idolatry, sorcery, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissension, division,
21 envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other sins like these. Let me tell you again, as I have before, that anyone living that sort of life will not inherit the Kingdom of God.
B) Not Walking In The Way of Evildoers (I King 15:26,34 and Proverbs 4:14)
I King 15:26,34
26 But he did what was evil in the Lord’s sight and followed the example of his father, continuing the sins that Jeroboam had led Israel to commit.
34 But he did what was evil in the Lord’s sight and followed the example of Jeroboam, continuing the sins that Jeroboam had led Israel to commit.
Proverbs 4:14
14 Don’t do as the wicked do, and don’t follow the path of evildoers.
C) Not Walking In Dark Ways (Proverbs 2:13)
Proverbs 2:13
13 These men turn from the right way to walk down dark paths.
D) Not Walking In Darkness (John 8:12; I John 1:6 and I John 2:11)
John 8:12
12 Jesus spoke to the people once more and said, “I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.”
I John 1:6
6 So we are lying if we say we have fellowship with God but go on living in spiritual darkness; we are not practicing the truth.
I John 2:11
11 But anyone who hates another brother or sister is still living and walking in darkness. Such a person does not know the way to go, having been blinded by the darkness.
E) Not Walking In The Counsel Of The Wicked (Psalms 1:1)
Psalms 1:1
1 Oh, the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand around with sinners, or join in with mockers.
F) Not Walking In Pride (Daniel 4:37 and Micah 2:3)
Daniel 4:37
37 “Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and glorify and honor the King of heaven. All his acts are just and true, and he is able to humble the proud.”
Micah 2:3
3 But this is what the Lord says: “I will reward your evil with evil; you won’t be able to pull your neck out of the noose. You will no longer walk around proudly, for it will be a terrible time.”
